26/08/07 Edina Hibs (Away) Lothian Buses Cup

Bad news before kick off as Mark and Ben were unable to take part as their clearance papers had not arrived in time.

Edina were well up for this match and from the start they tried their best to bridge the gap between the teams by sheer work rate and power but the hutchie boys kept their shape and discipline and the goals soon started to flow.

Not an easy match for the kids to play in or to watch as a spectator but it has to be said the Edina boys never let their heads go down and battled to the end for every ball which was a pleasure to see as to often boys just give up when the score goes against them.

The hutchie boys were just to good and too fast on the day and the 13-1 score line was a fair reflection of the game ,credit to the lads for keeping their composure when the tackles ! were flying in .

Jordan was unlucky not to have a kept a clean sheet but a very soft ! ! penalty,  gave them a goal, Jordan did have a chance for revenge but their keeper saved well when Jordan took a penalty for us.

Scorers, Sam 5 Mark 3 (2 pens)Jaxon,Jason,Kevin,Harry and Lewis S ( yes that Lewis ) all got a goal each.
